Samsung Galaxy Phones Make It No.1 Brand in Mobile Sector

The incredible rise of Samsung Galaxy Phones in the last year or two has stumped everyone. And the South Korean mobile phone giant seems to have done it against heavy odds. It started last year launching several mid-range smartphones like the ever popular Galaxy S Series and the Samsung S3, S3, Note 2 range OS smartphones. Then, followed it up with the mega device, the Samsung Galaxy S. The flagship device proved true to its name and sold an unbelievable 10 million units worldwide within four months of his arrival in the market place.

Samsung followed it up with the next generation Galaxy behemoth, the Samsung Galaxy S2. The Galaxy S2 has sold more than five million within the last three to four months time of its existence globally. Not just in terms of pure sales, the Samsung Galaxy S2 is acknowledged by many mobile phone industry experts as technically the number one smartphone currently selling in the market place.

It has been thus, a really strong upward surge for Samsung. It has strives very hard to reach this position and stature in the industry. And has already left an indelible mark in the smartphone sector that will be very hard for the rivals to equal, leave aside overtake.

Samsung had in recent months shown lot of allegiance to the Android platform and this move has indeed given it stupendous success in no time at all. Its proprietary user interface, the Samsung TouchWiz is already a raging hit among users for being a highly intuitive and user-friendly UI.

The premier electronics giant is also veering towards developing its own operating platform that it can use for its various smartphones and tablet devices. It has been, now more or less, decided that Samsung will buy the Web OS of Hewlett Packard. HP, as we know, is in the process of disengaging itself from the software part of the laptop business as also the tablet device market.

Though an as yet under developed operating system, the Web OS still would give Samsung something to work, build and establish itself on. In doing so, it will be acceding to the request from the South Korean Government to concentrate on developing its proprietary operating platform and not solely rely on the Android software from Google.

Samsung is also making heavy inroads into the mobile computer tablet market with its Samsung Galaxy Tab giving a good run for its money to the Apple iPad 2. The Samsung Galaxy 10.1 Tab is well on its way too and is expected to launch Samsung firmly in the tablet sector.
