Sony' cloud based music subscription Music unlimited will now be available on the PlayStation Portable 2 also; earlier the user of PlayStation 3 were privileged to enjoy the this service. Sony has confirmed that in a matter of weeks it will be available on the PlayStation Portable.
This service, has thumping six million songs in two options. The basic plan includes genre specific and era specific channels of incessant flow of music, while the premium service contains on-demand access to all songs in the library and extra channels with latest beats. As for the cost, the basic plan comes for £3.99 or €3.99 a month and the premium will cost £9.99 or €9.99 a month.
This Music unlimited service links all Sony network-enabled consumers electronics products and provides the same platform as the PlayStation Network that connect Sony's gaming devices.
"The heart of the offering here is that with the one account you can access this music on your TV, your PS3, your laptop, your Blu-ray player, and have your music follow you wherever you go, rather than having to download all of your music into a device and make that device go with you everywhere," told Shawn Layden, executive vice president and CEO of Sony Network Entertainment.
As for games, you can add PSP games with your portable player with the PS3 in gaming world. It is quite easy to make your account and find the same content that is available on other PS3 home. So this sharing is already going on. But now with this new service Sony Network Entertainment is trying to fetch all the different content domains into easier form for the users so that the users don't have to search them in different directions.
Sony has already discussed on these capabilities. Now it wants to enable the users to fetch non gaming forms of entertainment such as music and videos to use them on multiple devices, that started with PS3 and will be available on PSP2. The user of PSP's XMB are already enjoying this Music- Unlimted service "We will see that functionality come live on the PSP in a matter of weeks," Layden confirmed.
Moreover this Music-Unlimited, this year is coming with a few more gadget from Sony such as Xperia play too, so it will really be good gift for the user of PSP2. Layden added that their idea is to make PlayStation ID ubiquitous sign so that wherever you go, you can use them.
